Lesson Discussion Common Feedback

I hope you have positive learning experience in our lesson discussions.  Some of you have served as lesson moderators and expressed your learning experiences with me. Yes, it is not an easy task to be lesson moderators, particularly when we are not the content experts. Job: Substitute Position

Thank you so much for helping us with this endeavor of trying to create a larger bank of substitutes.  Attached is the posting that we have placed on Craigslist, put in the Williams paper, the Grand Canyon paper, and the AZ Daily Sun.  Because of our remote location, rates actually change based on distance traveled.  Because of that it makes it very tricky to say what the exact rate would be because it is based on the location in which they are coming from.  I can tell you that the beginning rate of pay for a one day substitute is $75.00 per day which I believe is in line with Flagstaff Unified.  Again, there is a wage adjustment based on where the substitute is coming from. Reflection on 1st posting period

I though we should reflect on what we have accomplished in the 1 st posting period for Lesson 1 discussions to help us to improve our learning experiences.  I hope you find them useful. What we did right: ·       Responded to both Key 1 and Key 2 discussion question by Thursday. ·       I saw many thorough and comprehensive responses to both key discussions with relevant and strong references support. ·       Some of you started respond to other students' postings. It is a great way to engage us in more learner-learner interaction. What we can improve: ·       Remember to "Reply" to the key discussion thread rather than initiating a new thread for our postings/responses. ·       Update the "Subject" field to reflect our posting; therefore, our subject field represent a title of our postings rather than read like "KEY-1-Foundati...

Many of you have responded the Lesson 1 discussion key question but I noticed many of you initiate a new thread to respond to the discussion question. In this formate, we will many threads to follow. It becomes very hard to follow the discussion development. Let's do this way. Please use "Reply" function to post your responses to the key questions for both KEY discussion questions.
