Common Feedback for Lesson 2 Discussion

You should receive your Lesson 2 discussion grade and feedback in your NAU E-mail.  I hope you find them useful.  Here are more of my reflections to share with you to help you to enhance your learning experiences.   What we did right: ·          Diagram: I am very pleased to see some of us took one-step further to challenge ourselves by drawing a diagram. It is not an easy task to draw this diagram because to draw it, it requires us to have comprehensive understanding on the relationships and relations between both entities.  I hope it has been a positive learning experience for you. ·          KEY Discussion Questions : Most of us responded to the key discussions thoroughly and comprehensively. ·          Cite Relevant Literature : Great to see many of you cite research-based literature to strengthen your argument...

Writing Support from University Writing Commons (UWC) at NAU

I'm writing in regard to your Fall courses, and to inform you that the University Writing Commons (UWC) will continue to be operating and available for services in the upcoming Fall 2020 and Spring 20201 semesters. The UWC is a program designed to give  free one-on-one  writing support to students, faculty, and staff across campus. Our excellent Writing Assistants are capable of helping NAU members in all course levels, subject matters, or difficulty. I've attached a flyer below with information on our program, which we ask that you please share with your faculty, students, and staff. Using the link listed on the flyer, students are able to quickly and easily sign themselves up for time slots that are most convenient to them to meet with one of our Writing Assistants. We've moved the vast majority of our appointments online to help students social distance, but we also have a few face-to-face options available as well. If you have any questions about th...

Lesson 2: Instructor’s Notes #2: 1st posting period

I thought we should reflect on what we have accomplished in the 1 st posting period for Lesson 2 discussions to help us to improve our learning experiences. What we did right: ·          Responded to ALL KEY discussion questions by Thursday. ·          I saw many thorough and comprehensive responses to the key discussions with relevant and strong reference supports.  If needed, cite additional references to make your arguments more valid. Continue your good work. ·          Some of you started to respond to other students' postings. It is a great way to engage us in more learner-learner interaction. What we can improve: ·          Remember to "Reply" to the key discussion thread rather than initiating a new thread for our postings/responses. ·          Update the "Subject" field to refle...

Lesson 2: Instructor’s Notes #1

I hope you had productive Lesson 1: Orientation week for ETC645. Our class instructional designs and structures are very different from other courses. This is because the course designs are the part of content and journey we need to experience and to learn. We will use "Instructor's Notes" to provide general feedback and comments to support your learning. Typically, I will post 1 or 2 each week. They will be posted on course twitter feeds, BBLearn, and sometimes via emails. This Instructor's Notes contains THREE parts: Lesson discussions, Assignment 1 general feedback, and others. This is longer since I would like to us to obtain a clear course expectation. Lesson Discussions Lesson discussion, one third of the course grade, is one of key designs, and it is designed with different pedagogical concepts. Here is some additional information for you to support your lesson discussion activities. Q: What are the two posting periods? A : Two po...
