JOB: Project Coordinator Position

Project Coordinator Position: Parents Taking Action to Improve Autism Services Access for Navajo Families in Northern Arizona   Project Overview: Little is known about Navajo parent/guardian experiences raising children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and service access barriers. Moreover, no intervention to reduce health disparities has targeted Navajo families of children with ASD. A critical need, therefore, exists to generate new knowledge on Navajo parent/guardian perceptions of ASD that can inform an intervention to improve service access. This study aims to: (1a) Conduct focus groups and interviews with Navajo parents/guardians of children with ASD to generate new knowledge on Navajo parent/guardian experiences raising children with ASD; (1b) Adapt Parents Taking Action, an evidence-based intervention, for Navajo families of children with ASD; and (2) Conduct a pilot trial of the adapted intervention with 15 Navajo parents/guardians of children with ASD ages 2-...

Common Feedback for Lesson 2 Discussion

You should receive your Lesson 2 discussion grade and feedback in your NAU Email.  I hope you find them beneficial.  Here are more of my reflections to advance your learning experiences. This is a longer common feedback for the lesson discussion because this is the first time we participated in the graded lesson discussions. I want to ensure that you have full understanding on the expectations of the class discussions.   What we did right: ·          Diagram: I am very pleased to see some of us took one-step further to draw a diagram. It is an arduous task to visualize our mental model into a diagram because it requires us to have comprehensive understanding on the relationships and relations between and among different entities. ·          KEY Discussion Questions : Most of us responded to the key discussions thoroughly and comprehensively with effusive participatio...

Assignment 2 Question

Q: Do we have to choose a different LMS and wiki? Or can we evaluate the same one? The thought behind evaluating the same one is that if we know what LMS and wiki we are choosing, we can bring our own opinions to the table on the strengths and weaknesses of those. A:  Your group can review the same LMS and wiki or different ones. I would leave the decision for you. Every group approaches it differently. If your group decides to review the same ones, be sure each of you should work independently to preserve the originality and creativity of your evaluations. Some groups evaluate different ones because they take this opportunity to explore different platforms and decide which one they intend to integrate for their final unit. Either way works.

ETC645: Lesson 2: Instructor’s Notes #1

I hope you had a productive Lesson 1: Orientation week for ETC645. Our class instructional designs and structures are very different from other courses. This is because the course designs are the part of content and journey we need to experience and to learn. We will use " Instructor's Notes " to provide general feedback and comments to support your continuous learning enhancement. Typically, I will disseminate 1 or 2 each week. They will be posted on course twitter feeds, BBLearn, and sometimes via NAU emails. This "Instructor's Notes" contains THREE parts: Lesson discussions, Assignment 1 general feedback, and others. This one is longer since I would like to communicate a clear course expectation. Lesson Discussions Lesson discussion, one third of the course grade, is a key design to engage students in three types of interaction (learner-learner, learner-content, & learner-instructor to strengthen higher critical thinking skills...
