Dear ETC645 students,   The ETC645 7-week session has ended.  Hopefully all of your class responsibilities have been completed and you will be free to enjoy the summer.   The grades for the class are being finalized and will be posted by the end of this week.  You will receive a notification by e-mail & Tweet when the grade is posted.  It is important for you to check your grade book as frequently as possible to review your grade before it is finalized.   This has been a great experience working with you.  It was a very challenging and intensive course due to the 7-week format and other factors.  I think all of you have done a great job.  Particularly, we set a few new records for lesson discussions.  You should be proud of you.  This is just a start for you to integrate technology into your teaching and learning.  I hope you have are able to integrate what you learn in our class.  I...

Instructional Designer Needed (Contract Work) Instructional designer needed to design four professional development courses for educators and health care workers in Saudi Arabia (2 courses for each group of workers). The courses should be Moodle-based and combine three approaches to instruction, including asynchronous online instruction, synchronous online seminars, and culminating in face-to-face summative workshops. The instructional designer will be employed on a contract basis and can be located anywhere in the world. Travel to Saudi Arabia is not necessary. All content can be emailed and consultation can be done electronically or by phone. Pay will be commensurate with the qualifications of the designer and the ability to meet projected timelines (work completed by Nov. 1, 2012). LOUIE upgrade will bring some down time will not impact BBLearn #ETC645

Oct. 2, 2012 LOUIE upgrade will bring some down time ITS will go live Oct. 8 with updated PeopleSoft web services—LOUIE—for student and human resource-related activities, and during the upgrade, the system will be offline Oct. 4 through 7. BbLearn will not be impacted during this system upgrade. In order to test integrations between LOUIE and the financials system, the financials system also will be offline. Non-administrative users of the system will see little change in the system after the upgrade. Staff and faculty who use the student and HR systems for more than personal tasks will be offered training for any changes that impact their work tasks.
