Job Description:

Implements by instruction and action the District philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives by instructing assigned classes, planning a program of study that meets the needs, interests & abilities of the students. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals; in harmony with the goals, establishes desired student performance objectives for all lessons, units, and projects; communicates these objectives to students. Evaluates, conscientiously and fairly, the accomplishments of students and provides progress reports as required by law, District policy, and administrative regulation. Provides an atmosphere, physical and psychological, conducive to learning. Maintains accurate permanent academic and attendance records for students. Counsels with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis. Attends and participates in general faculty and department meetings. Cooperates with other staff members in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods. Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Governing Board Policy.

Assists in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional equipment. Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with others. Maintains and improves professional competence.

Performs other reasonable duties as may be directed by the Administration.

 

 

 

 

 Qualifications:

• Highly qualified with a Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited four-year college or university

• Valid, or ability to obtain, an Arizona teacher's certificate for the appropriate grade level and/or subject matter

• Meet the No Child Left Behind standards required for subject area assigned

• Valid, or ability to obtain, fingerprint clearance card.

Santa Cruz Valley Union High School District in Eloy, Arizona is seeking a Superintendent for fiscal year 2014-2015. Salary is negotiable, eligible for Arizona Superintendent Certification.

Santa Cruz Valley Union School is on a 4-Day School week. We are located in the town of Eloy, Arizona which is located off of Interstate 10 South of Casa Grande, Arizona half way between Phoenix and Tucson.
