JOB: Instructional Technologist

UPDATED: We have changed Texas Teaching Certificate from a minimum requirement to a preferred requirement.

Are you an amazing instructional technologist? If so, come work for the best school district in lush San Antonio, a popular resort and conference destination. We are a small district (approximately 1,100 students); we're located in a major metropolitan center (San Antonio is the 7th largest city in the country); and we consistently rank at the top of school districts in the city.

Our instructional technologist opportunity is a full-time position with benefits, beginning in the 2019-2020 academic year. The Instructional Technologist reports to the Director of Technology and is considered to be central office staff. Therefore, the position has district-wide responsibilities. This position takes primary responsibility for instructional technology at our Stacey Jr-Sr High School campus, so this is a position focused on the secondary level, but supporting all grades as needed.

Salary is dependent upon experience and degree, consult the district's compensation plan (go to physical page 7 in the document) for details for your specific situation. This position carries an additional $1,500 annual stipend above and beyond the salary. If you are an out-of-state applicant, please compare your current cost-of-living to San Antonio's. There are many free online calculators that will help you to do so, and one of the big benefits of living here is the low cost-of-living.

The district offers one of the best benefits plans in the city! An overview of the benefits is located here, and the district's contributions toward those premiums is located here.

A full job description is located in the attachment on our district application system.

This position does NOT require that the applicant possess or obtain a Texas certification, but gives preference to applicants who do. For those possessing certifications in other states, details on applying for a review of your credentials are listed on the Out-of-State Certifications page on the Texas Education Agency's (TEA's) website.

Come work for the best technology team in K-12 education . . . and in one of the best (and cheapest) places to live!
