Graduation Application for Spring 2014

Just a quick note to let you know that if you are planning on graduating in May 2014, you will need to get your graduation application submitted soon.

Here's the deal...applications for graduation for spring 2014 are due on December 1st.

BUT that is if you want to attend Commencement AND have your name in the Commencement Program.

If you miss the deadline, you can still come to commencement and walk across the stage AND have your name read, but your name won't be listed in the program.

THIS IS IMPORTANT: Even if you miss the deadline AND aren't planning on attending commencement, you still need to submit a graduation application.  Here is the reason...submitting the graduation application begins the process of having your degree post to your transcript.  In other words, your degree won't post, just  because you complete your course work -- you must submit a graduation application.

Here's how you submit your graduation application...

1) Download and complete the graduation application.  You will find it on the NAU Grad College Website and it is for both Masters and Doctorates.

Send it to your adviser (email attachments work best).

Also send the following...

2) An Unofficial Transcript

3) A Completed Program of Studies (put the semester and year you took your courses).

4) The URL to your Ed Tech Program Portfolio

The process then goes like this...Once I receive it, I review and check it against your unofficial transcript AND your completed POS.  Given that everything looks good, I then review your Ed Tech Program Portfolio and sign the graduation application.

I then forward the items to our chair, Dr. Sujo-Montes, who also reviews everything, signs, and forwards it to the grad college, who then review everything for a final time...then you get your degree!

BTW...Applications for graduation for fall 2014 will be due on May 1st 2014.
